ADOI – Italian Association of Hospital and Public Health Dermatologists-Venereologists
ADOI was founded in 1954 under the name of ‘Associazione Dermosifilografi Ospedalieri Italiani’ (Italian Association of Hospital Dermosyphilographers).
It then became the Italian Association of Hospital and Public Health Dermatologists-Venereologists (ADOI) in deference to the growing need to represent also those areas of public dermatology not strictly linked to the medical dependency contract and the presence of the dermatologist in the hospital.
The aim of ADOI is to promote the progress of Dermatology and Venereology through professional updating and permanent training of its members, as well as through any other initiative deemed suitable for the purpose, thus contributing to the best care for patients suffering from dermato-venereological pathologies.
ADOI is the owner of Dermatology Reports, an impacted scientific journal that is its official organ, and guarantees its members services and benefits, such as the possibility to enjoy dedicated insurance coverage. ADOI also contributes directly to improving care for patients suffering from dermato-venereological pathologies to this end interacting specifically with Health Institutions at national, regional and local level.
